A recent decision by the federal government to extend the amount of time to file income taxes has generally met the similar response from the state governments. In order to truly ease the process of filing taxes, limit the cost, and ensure social distancing, many states followed the federal deadlines for tax submissions. As of today (March 31, 2020), most States extended the deadline to file income taxes to July 15, but it has not been uniform; below are more details.

  • Alabama (AL) – July 15
  • Alaska (AK) – No state income tax
  • Arizona (AZ) – July 15
  • Arkansas (AR) – July 15
  • California (CA) – July 15
  • Colorado (CO) – July 15
  • Connecticut (CT) – July 15
  • Delaware (DE) – July 15
  • District of Columbia – July 15
  • Florida (FL) – No state income tax

  • Hawaii (HI) – July 20
  • Idaho (ID) – June 15
