Stressed out over your taxes? Stuck and need some support from TurboTax? Then we have you covered with all of the fastest ways to get a hold of their customer support team by phone, chat and email this tax season.

The first step in getting help is to go to http://turbotax.intuit.com/support/ where TurboTax has answers to common questions on its website to alleviate phone lines during the tax season. If you feel that your question is pretty basic, then it’s quite possible this is your best option for getting your question answered. For some specific questions, you can reach a TurboTax representative or look for an answer at Live Community. Additionally, TurboTax offers Tax Calculators, Tax Guides, and How to Videos which all can be found at their Tax Tools center.

TurboTax offers more help once you install the software. It has a built-in help, chat, and even common questions for each category that are displayed as you move from one section of your return to another.

If you need to speak to a representative at TurboTax, click on one of the six categories where your question belongs in the Support section. Select a question that matches yours at least partially and click on Contact Us on the bottom. Once again you are prompted to ask your question (typing a key word should suffice) and enter required personal information (name, your contact number, email). You will be given a phone number to call with your questions, case number for personalized experience, and a current wait time.

Some telephone options are available only during certain hours.

I missed to put in the social security income on the 2011 federal return and was caught by IRS, why TurboTax had not caught it when I filed? TurboTax offered guaranteed audit. How I report the loss of penalty and interest on the 2013 return?

    Thanks

I’m sorry to hear about your 2011 tax return. Without more information, it is hard to determine what happened during the interview process (when you report all aspects of your life) and how come the social security income was omitted.

I’m afraid the penalty and interest you paid are not deductible from this year’s return (or any other return).

With respect to audit support, TurboTax offers guidance on how to proceed when the IRS decides to inquire into your tax return. If you are still audited and have questions on how to proceed, contact a TurboTax representative. Keep in mind that TurboTax offers two products, Audit Support (free) and Audit Defense (fee based) to deal with the IRS. The free version should be sufficient for majority of audit scenarios; Audit Defense has to be purchased before you file a return for TurboTax to represent you for all audit requirements.

I have been trying to complete my 2013 tax return. I received a form 3922 for stock I sold during the year. I am using Primer Turbo Tax. I cannot find where I can enter information for form 3922. It keeps trying to get me to use 1099. Also, when I ask about form 3922 it says I do not need that form unless I sold stock. I did sale stock so how do I complete my tax return and give my form 3922 information?

all of my information , donations, clothes etc was entered into It’s deductible. Yesterday I spent 4 hours trying to get it transferred to my tax file. They kept asking me for the name of my first pet, They denied
this name as wrong. I am 78 yrs old, and was 6 yrs old when I had this pet, 76 yrs ago.THEY KEPT ASKING THE SAME QUESTION 21 TIMES EXCEPT ONCE THEY ASKED FOR MY SOCIAL SECURITY, WHICH I MUST HAVE MISSED A NUMBER. INSTEAD OF ASKING ME TO REPEAT THE NUMBER, THEY CONTINUED TO ASK FOR THE 76 YEAR OLD DOGS NAME. i ATTEMPTED TO TRY AGAIN TODAY AND GOT THE SAME DOG ERROR. I HAVE BEEN USING TURBO TAX AT LEAST SINCE THE LATE 90′S.PLEASE GRANT ME SOME RESPECT AND ASK FOR MY SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER . THANK YOU
